Paul Gostelow - Director


With 24 years experience as a solicitor, Paul has honed our practice’s reputation for providing quality legal services both in and out of court. 

Paul delivers in-depth advice and representation on a range of family law services, civil court matters and private law, ranging from the law of parent and child, separation and divorce, adoption, landlord and tenant through to powers of attorney and guardianship.

Paul provides a trusting, confidential and informative environment where clients can obtain quality advice and representation on which to base the important decisions they have to reach. This professional approach to providing legal services is at all times underpinned by an understanding that as solicitors we are often dealing with people at their most vulnerable.

As well as representing individual clients, Paul is an Accredited Mediator and carries out reports to assist the court in challenging child residence, contact and adoption cases. Paul is a member of the PVG scheme and has full disclosure for working with children.

Gillian Baker - Consultant 


Gillian is our Consultant with 20 years experience in family law and civil litigation. Developing a keen interest in family law early in her career, she started the firm in 2003. Our firm has grown steadily partly due to her reputation as a respected and able solicitor attracting clients from all over Scotland.

Gillian has considerable expertise in the law of domestic abuse having headed up a domestic abuse project through 2007 and 2008 under a Scottish Executive Community Safety Partnership Award and currently runs a domestic abuse legal advice project in Stirling.

John Stirling - Consultant Solicitor


John McKean Stirling has been practising law in Hamilton for some 46 years and it is fair to say has seen it all.

John’s depth of knowledge and experience on a range of legal matters is second to none and, as Consultant Solicitor based at our Stirling Dunlop office in Hamilton, he continues his outstanding practise into his 47th year.

Specialising in a full range of personal and commercial legal services, John Stirling can be instructed in relation to Wills, Powers of Attorney, Executry or probate, all residential conveyancing and commercial property matters. 

Carolyn Lannigan - Associate Solicitor


Carolyn is an experienced family lawyer and litigator specialising in all aspects of our family law and civil court practice, advising on separation, divorce, contact and residence, and representing clients in  Family Court actions. 

Carolyn joined our team of Solicitors three years ago and brings a depth of experience from her decade of varied litigation and family court practice in Lanarkshire. Specialising in Child law, Children’s Hearings and Legal Aid Court cases, Carolyn is determined and works relentlessly on behalf of her clients.

Moyra Hotchkiss


An experienced legal secretary for over 40 years, Moyra joined our team over 10 years ago, bringing with her a depth of experience in residential conveyancing, family law and general private practice.

Moyra is an integral part of our outstanding team supporting our solicitors and manages the every day administration and smooth running of our Blantyre office. Our clients tell us they appreciate Moyra’s help and discretion when they speak to her on the phone or call in to the office.

Louise has worked with our Consultant John Stirling at our Hamilton office for over 25 years and is an integral part of our outstanding team supporting our Solicitors.

Louise is an experienced conveyancing paralegal and will play an important role in the smooth running of your house purchase or sale.

Rosin Glancy 


Roisin is an essential member of our team at our Hamilton office. She has considerable experience specialising in Wills and Executry work and will assist and support in the administration of cases.

 Kate Dickie

 Kate recently joined the team at our Hamilton office, bringing with her many years of experience in private practice as a conveyancing paralegal and legal secretary. It has not taken long for Kate to establish herself firmly as an asset to our team and to our clients. Kate is likely to be the first person you speak to when you call with an enquiry to our Hamilton office.
